Preserving Our Southern Appalachian Music
Due to increasing confidence in a significant winter storm this weekend, the Winter Bluegrass Jubilee will be rescheduled. With many in our community still recovering from last weekend’s ice storm, we felt it best to postpone so we can gather safely and enjoyably. We’re grateful for your support of the Jubilee and the Young Appalachian Musicians. We plan to reschedule this spring and hope you’ll join us. Ticket holders may choose a full refund or carry tickets forward to the spring event. We’ll share details once the new date is confirmed.

Charles Hood’s Looking for Space is a heartfelt memoir of growing up in Pickens, South Carolina. Through simple stories, vivid characters, and a deep love of place, Hood captures what it meant to come of age in a small mountain town and how those years shaped him. The book honors the people and history of Pickens while shining a light on the spirit of the Southern Appalachians.
All proceeds support Young Appalachian Musicians, helping kids learn and carry forward the music of our region.
